SAMPADA-the Inheritance by National School of Drama (India) was staged at the Asia Theatre Education Centre (ATEC) 7th International Forum with the 2nd Asian Theatre Schools Festival held during May 18-23, 2012.
The Participants of ATEC 7th Forum are representatives from 33 international and domestic theatre schools and departments such as China Central Academy of Drama, Nihon University College of Arts Japan, Korea Chung-Ang University, China National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts, Nanyang Academy of Fine Art Singapore, Shanghai Theatre Academy China, National School of Drama India, Korea Chung Woon University Broadcast Video Arts College, Vietnam Hanoi Academy of Theatre & Cinema, Japan Toho Gakuen College of Drama and Music, Korea Seokyeong University College of Arts, Mongolian State University of Arts and Culture, Singapore LASALLE College of the Arts, University of the Philippines Diliman, Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgian Stage University, Thailand Chulalongkorn University, University Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia Insitute o the Arts of Yogyakarta, University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka, Stanford University, The University of New Mexico USA, University of Valle Cali Colombia, J.F.Oberlin University Japan, China PLA Institute of the Arts, China Shandong Arts Institute School of Drama Film and TV Arts, China Nanjing Arts Institute Summit College, China Yunnan Arts Institute School of Drama, Guangxi Arts Institute College of Film TV and Media, China YanBian University College of Arts, China Xinjiang Arts Institute, China Tianjin Conservatory of Music, China Inner Mongolian University School of Arts, China Lishui College in Zhejiang Province.
The scholars from 33 theatre schools and departments presented their papers on the topic “Theatre-Globalization and Localization”. Meanwhile 11 theatres were presented during the Theatre School Festival from May 18 to 22. They are Chekhov’s Farce by China Central Academy of Drama, The seagulls by Chung Woon University Korea, Port Twilight by The University of New Mexico USA, The Seagulls by Mongolian State University of Arts and Culture, Chekhov’s Short Stories by Nanyang Academy of Fine Art Singapore, SAMPADA-the Inheritance by National School of Drama India, Uncle Vanya by SeoKyeong University Korea, A Marriage Proposal by Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema Vietnam, Uncle Vanya by School of Theatre and Film Chung-ang University Korea, The Dressing Room by Toho Gakuen College of Drama and Music Japan ,The Eclogue of Placida & Vitoriano by Universidad del Valle Colombia.
Yang Guiren Deputy Inspector of Ministry of Education, Wang Dengfeng Director of Department of Physical Education, Hygiene and Arts Education Ministry of Education , Wang Feng Deputy Director of Department of Culture, Science and Technology, Ministry of Culture, Wang Xiaoying Vice President of National Theatre Company of China and of Chinese Theatre Association, Corneliu Dumitriu Chairholder of UNESCO Chair-ITI, Xu Xiang President of the Central Academy of Drama, General Director of ATEC addressed in the opening ceremony. Lliu Libin, Deputy Director of ATEC and Chair of the Executive Committee of the Academy hosted the ceremony.
