Avanindranath
Rao’s book ‘Dehaliya Kannada Jagattinalli’ released on New Year day
The first cultural narration on
Kannada people residing in Delhi ‘Dehaliya Kannada Jagattinalli’ written by Dr
Y. Avanindranath Rao released at Delhi Karnataka Sangha on the New Year day.
Releasing the book former
professor in Delhi University Dr T. S. Sathyanath said that the book will help
to write post modern Kannada cultural history. He also opiniond that the
articles are archival importance as it gives very good inputs to build the
cultural records.
The book contains portraits on
cultural and literary figures with whom author has associated including former
union minister Dr. Sarojini Mahishi, Principal Information officer I. Ramamohan Rao,
Dr. Purushotama Bilimale, Dr. H. S. Shivaprakash, U. Prabhakar Rao and C.V.
Gopinath. It also includes literary criticism on Delhi based published books
and performed plays.
In his preface well known critic
and convener of Kannada at Cenrtal Sahitya Akademi, Dr.Narahalli Balasubramanya
observed that the article on Delhi Karnataka Sangha has greater reference value
and Rao’s writing’s based on his dynamism.

Ganesh Yakshagana Mandali, Kundapura, Karnataka
